*The Transportation Department holds classes to assist potential employees in obtaining their Passenger and School Bus Endorsement if they hold a CDL. We also have a State Certified School bus CDL tester on site for the road requirements in order to help you obtain a Class B CDL. The State of Georgia DOE training is offered by our certified staff members on a monthly basis for drivers to help them obtain their CDL.

The state and local requirements for positions in Transportation are listed below:

• 21 years old
• Current Georgia Commercial Driver’s License (Class B) – Required for drivers only
• Passenger (P Endorsement) & School Bus Endorsement (S Endorsement) – Required for drivers only
• Pass a Criminal Records Check
• Be in good health (CDL physical examination required)
• First Aid/CPR Preferred
• Good Character
• Acceptable Driving Record - Required for drivers only
• Successful completion of annual DOE Driver Safety Training Program
• Successful completion of Bus Driver/Monitor Classroom Training
